and here I am, finishing up the day at the computer. Actually had a nice day with the kids - this is the week I was holding my breath about. Ian is in Vienna for the week leaving me alone with the two of them. I'm lucky that they are good children. Would have been luckier still if we were able to go to Vienna with their Dad. Well, I shouldn't complain. It's great to be off with them, while I figure out what to do with the rest of my life.
One of my parents friends passed away very suddenly last week while they were on their 3rd cruise of the Mediterranean. She was a lady I've known since I was about 5 as well. It's a shock - it brings to mind our mortality. Mom and Dad haven't seemed too old - I mean they are still able to do the cruise thing a couple of times a year, and they are very active in their gym and with the real estate business. But when something like this happens, you realize that they (and I ) aren't getting any younger.
So I'll hit 40 this year. Getting some nice grey hair at the temple. My sister couldn't believe how much grey I have . I need to get it coloured . Just need to find the time.
Well, should be going to bed now - I expect to be awakened at 4 AM by G, if not earlier by L. But then again, I love it.
