Will winter end?

Here I am sitting, listening to the wind and the hail/snow showering my window. Kids are asleep, have been for over 3 hours (wow, I'm good... maybe because their Dad's away and there are no shenanagins when Mom puts them to bed). I always get to bed so late when Ian's away on business. I'm a night owl anyway, but it always takes me longer, my bedroom seems cold and lonely.

We're expecting another huge dump of snow tomorrow, could be another snow day.

It's times like these that I'm so glad I will not have to deal with a morning commute. And I feel better about the man not having to deal with his drive to work. I think I'll make him feel better by sending him a message about the drive he doesn't have to endure tomorrow. Hopefully he'll receive it as he's enjoying his moules et frites in Brussels.

Spring, quit with the teasing and just get here already, 'kay?

UGH... so I guess I shouldn't tell you about the perfectly lovely spring days we've been having here?
One thing we don't get here are snow days. As a kid I always wished we lived where it snowed so we could listen to the radio awaiting the news.

Should I stop typing now?

I have read a lot of posts lately about people wanting Spring to arrive early - I hope it does for you all -I do. I know you are ready and tired of the cold!! I wish you lived next door - we'd sit on my back porch in the evenings while hubby is away. Take care - Kellan

Here in Vancouver, we have a week of sun ahead of us! It's fabulous, however, I was in your shoes about, oh...3 weeks ago. Spring will come in a flash, just like it did here.

I hope Ian enjoys Brussels. Such a shame that we're away the one weekend he's here.
By the way, it's cold here too, and we had a little snow yesterday...

I'm so over winter. I love it, but it's time to pack up and leave.

Hi!

I always stay up late when my hubby is out of town, too. Even though I'm absolutely fine with being home by myself, (well, with the kids, too, but you know what I mean), there is just something unsettling about him not being here.

Part of the reason I'm so torn about going back to work full time is the thought of having to drive to work in the snow and ice! (not to mention having to shovel the driveway first!) I worry too, about how my kids will get to school if the roads are bad, or it's pouring rain. Silly, I know, somehow millions of people do it every day! I sure wish Spring would get here soon! :o)

I, too, am a night-owl...but when my husband is away, I can't sleep. Not because I miss him,(which of course I do!) but...it took me so long to get used to his snoring and other "sleeping noises", when he's gone, it's too damn quiet and everything wakes me up!!

Spring is on her way here...we had the "yellow sand" yesterday...which is sand blowing to Japan from China and Mongolia...it marks the beginning of spring!! It's kind of dirty, but...the message is good!!

It's been a long winter in New England too. I am really ready for some sunlight and warm weather!

Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday!
