Blog Confessional

"So, you're not having an online affair or anything are you?"

"WHAT?!! NO!!!! "

"Because if you were, we could work through it. I would work through it with you..." **

"What would make you think that, anyway?! As if I would do that, there's no one else."

"Well, why else would you be up until 1:30 AM so often. Makes me wonder".

Awwwww, sh*t. The things that a little drinking will unleash in the wee hours of a Sunday morning.

Catching up on blogs, plurking, buzzing, getting back to internet speed after being on holiday ... it's started to affect my marriage. Not a good thing. Despite the time difference factor that was keeping me up later at night, it was still not a good excuse.

So, if you haven't already noticed, the posts will not be as frequent over the next little while.

Instead, I'll be doing the following:

-hopefully avoiding further speeding tickets while I chauffeur the rest of the week;
-spend some quality time with the kids after daycamp this week,
-shop for a new wardrobe for my guy as he's purged his closet
-locate a light fixture for the kitchen so we can finish the darn renovation before the start of the next decade
-source new cabinetry for the laundry/utility room
-enjoy the few weeks of vacation my husband has booked this summer and
-focus on him during our anniversary getaway in August

That's what counts. I need to get more real.

Because HE** is what is real. And I am so lucky.

Awwwwww!!! Tell Ian not to worry! My Hubby also asked me that question! LOL! Only, I was up at 4AM from insomnia AND nausea...and ended up catching up on blogs I read.

If this nausea doesn't go away by the end of this trimester, I am going to beg my doctor to put me out of my misery! I love being pregnant, but the all day nausea? I don't love that so much!

Can't wait to hear about your anniversary getaway in August!

True enough!

Go hang with your hubby or there won't be a getaway in August.

I hear ya I've had similar conversations with my hubby.

Whether you post daily or monthly know that you've got plenty of people who'll be glad to hear from you. (including moi)

*sigh* blog widows/widowers. They just DON'T get it! I had to cancel my planned groupie trip to Blogher because of blog life insecurities, so I get it. I totally get it.

We've had similar conversations, and I can see Ian's side too. Time off will be good for both of you, although I can definitely see you starting to get twitchy after a couple of days...

I'm thinking that many husbands are thinking the same thing!! When I answered "no, of course not" to my husband...he then asked..."a girlfriend?" {smirk}
weeeellllll.......no....just friends that are more often than not, girls!
Note to self: go to bed before 2:00...the whole world will be happier!!!
Have a good weekend!!

I have to say that I too have been burning the candle at both ends to keep up with everything. and it is tiring.. I have started reading/catching up with all my blogs once a week.. this way I spend three to fours hours at once and then can focus on everything else in REAL LIFE..

Good for you K!!

AWwww.... poor hubby.

Didn't you purchase a new gaming system. He should be busy too. LOL. Have a great time with the lappy off. ;)

Yup, the Internet has become my boyfriend. Which, in a way, makes you my boyfriend, too. I guess we should cut our hair now.

I've been there. Heck. I am there. My blogging and commenting have slowed down. And there has been limited buzzing, plurking, and twittering.

All about balance. Balance and sleep. Yes. I miss sleep . . .

It is easy to get hooked . . . caught up. So, so easy. That's why those reality checks are quite necessary from time to time.

It appears you are not alone :)

Take care-YOU!

Good for you sweets. Real life should totally trump the virtual one. I need to do the same....

We're patiently waiting for your return. I'm glad you recognize your priorities. The "real" is better than the "cyber" EVERY SINGLE TIME.

My husband calls my computer my mistress. I try to blog when he golfs.

Dude, we just had the same. exact. discussion. Well, not quite. No affair talk in there! Hubz realizes I'm just "plurking" with my friends.

But he wants to spend some "quality" time with *ME* who'd'a thunk THAT? heh
