So should you blog when you're angry?

Probably not. But I'm going to anyway.

You know my last post? Well, here I was, ready to go all lovey-dovey. I had even come up with a solution. Just blog while in the same room with the man if we're watching TV. His show.

But then he went out to watch a movie last night. Without me. (Which, you know, he's certainly entitled to do after a long week at the office).

And when he went out to get a DVD to watch tonight, he brought home the newest Rambo. Because apparently there was nothing else there (he did phone me), and he wanted to watch it. Knowing full well that I HATE those movies. Pretty much spelled the evening out for me, don't cha think?

So I sat down in the family room with him to blog, while screaming emanated from the TV, accompanied by exploding huts and flying, bloodied, Asian bodies littered the screen.

"What are you doing here; if it bugs you so much, why are you sitting there and complaining!" (which I wasn't, complaining I mean). So I picked up my laptop and left the room.

I'll likely regret this post later, but screw it.

I'm keeping it really real.

It's Saturday night, and I'm bloghopping with my boyfriends and girlfriends.

That anniversary weekend better work wonders.

(Edited to add: he paused the show to come pour me more wine; maybe I'll be less mad while drunk?!)

MEN! They can be so clueless sometimes, even the best ones.

I hope he comes in to make up with you soon.

Have one for me! Or two. I find that usually, if you have enough wine you forget why you're mad in the first place. Of course you forget where you are, also.

pssht..the menz don't get it sometimes. I could have written this same post except the rambo movie would have been 15 baseball games.

I'm thinking you get even with a chick flick . . . make sure it is as cheesy, corny, and mushy as they come. And instead of wine, serve tea.

grrr don't you hate that double standard they lay on you?! They whine about you not spending time with them and then they expect you to smile through that quality while doing something that they know you want no part of (wait did that make sense) I feel you girl!

Go girl... do your thing! Get it out, its better than sitting there all pissed off.

Men, gotta love 'em. Or do we? ;-)

At least you got to leave the room with the horrible movie!

Hope you have a great Sunday!

It's not men. It's non-bloggers. ;) Just doing a little perspective correction. Except for the Rambo part. We DO love shoot em up movies (BUT I'd way rather hop some blogs on a Sat nite than watch Rambo).

Definitely keep it real. It helps to vent.
My hubby gets all pissy when I'm on the computer for more than 5 minutes, so what was he doing the whole week I took a break from blogging? Surfing the net. NICE.

You never know. You were both in the same house and breathing-- he may actually think you were bonding :-)

I don't get what you're upset about. That's a perfectly normal evening in my house. Except there'd be beer.

More wine = better man than most. :)

Oh man. You just blogged about what every single Friday night was like for me during Battlestar Gallactica season.

Kudos to you for keeping it real!

"Maybe I'll be less mad while drunk" - HA! I hope it helped.

I'm sorry your hubby "screwed up" this weekend, but if it is any help, mine did too. We seldom fight - ever - but we did yesterday - it must have been in the air!

Hope today was better for you - see you - Kellan

How old do my girls have to be before I can get them to pour my wine? Then I really won't need a man :)

Gah! Sorry your evening went the way it did. If it's any consolation, my husband does the same thing sometimes. He'd watch a movie that I have absolutely no interest in seeing. When it comes down to it, I really think they sometimes have no clue. They don't realize how much it bugs us. Like if I want to watch Grey's Anatomy and he puts on a game! It bugs me, but he doesn't get it.

At least Ian paused the movie to pour you a glass of wine! :)

Well, he can't say you didn't try. :-)
