Fashion Friday: On hiatus

Well, time crunch prohibits me from posting more nuggets from my wardrobe at this time... haven't done much shopping lately (well, other than much needed footwear last week). And what shopping I'll be doing next will have very little to do with clothes, and a lot more to do with kidlets.

However, a fashion moment with my son this morning:

L: "Mom, can you get me an outfit?"

Me, yelling from the kitchen: "Oh, just grab yourself something from the laundry basket in the family room. The clothes are all clean, so you can have your pick."

L: "But Mom, I can't. I have no fashion sense!"

But by the time I got back into the family room he had chosen his own pair of cargo pants and surfer-dude T-shirt. The teal one with the yellow slash across ... one of my faves that he seldom wears. Cute, as per usual.

His words didn't hit me until after I saw him get on the school bus and it drove away. Sitting here having my coffee, I'm thinking... maybe I'm onto something here -- even my son knows I'm a fashionista!!!

LOL! That Liam sure is a smart boy! Then again, it's quite obvious that his mama's a true fashionista! ;) xo

you're lucky he matched. Whenever Jack selects his own outfits he inevitably looks like a thrift store clearance rack. Fashionista indeed.... not in this house

Love it! Isn't it great when your kids recognize your personal genius?

You ARE a fashionista! Even the little ones can recognize it!

Pretty cute! He is lucky to have a fashionista mommy, maybe it is rubbing off:)

Is it possible you've corrected his choices in the past and he's learned a lesson? That's what's happened Chez Viking Conquest.

Which basically means a heck of a lot more work for me.

He has no FASHION SENSE? My Boy is happiest when dressed like a Dickensian orphan.

He just needed the opportunity to allow his own style (and humor) the blossom. ;)

next thing you know he'll be quoting stacy and clinton.

That is cute, my daughter usually just tells me I look like a dork! Her fashion sense is usually stretchy pants and t-shirt these days.

It's good that he is recognizing his fashion deficiency at this early age and asking for help. It will serve him well in the future!

Gotta raise them right!
Good job.
BTW found excellent jeans at EXPRESS. They know how to do the wide leg jean with the right length and smooth back pockets. Just sayin'
