Where did the real posts go?

They're on hiatus, unfortunately. I just don't have it in me.

Happy pictures of my happy kids are helping.

I'm tired, but not nearly as exhausted as others in my family.

I alternate from being numb, to borderline breakdown, to stern resolve within a matter of minutes... all the while with an aching heart, heavy in my chest, and a scream nestled uncomfortably as a whisper in the depths of my throat.

But I have to get past that. It's not about me.

I try to maintain positive thoughts, put on a cheerful face, as they need to see it. We all need to see it. We all need to feel it.

Hope. Strength.

To fight it.

Don't beat yourself up for being sad - you have every reason! And then you'll appreciate every genuine reason you have to smile, too.
Continuing to wish you and your family well...

Oh Sweetie. It is about you.
It's ok for you to be sad and scared. Kids need to see that we can and how to coup. Even if we don't feel that we know how ourselves. I know, easier said then done.

HUGS to you and your family.

Hang in there darling. I don't know what stage your dad is at, but I'm sure that just having you and the kids around is helping...even if he's too tired to interact with them much. It's a long and hard process, we went through it with my Dad a year ago, and I hope that your family's journey is easier. I know that there's not really much I can do to help, but I'm here if you need an ear.

xoxo Sarah

Oh Karen, I wish we could all share some of your burden right now. I am sure it helps to get your feelings out a bit and you don't have to be strong for us.

My thoughts are with you and your family during this very difficult time.

Karen, while I admire your strength - Lord knows I have smiled through heartache and pain for the sake of my family - please give in to the release when you can. Take some time to cry your heart out if you need to. It's scary, but in the end it's very freeing.

Take care of yourself, because even if it's not about you, it kind of is. People need you healthy - in mind and spirit and soul - not just in strength.
