Fashion Friday: Junior Miss Edition

It was the eve of March Break, so what's mom and girlie to do but take advantage of the fact that the younger male of the household was in school and the older male would not be back for a couple of days ... and catch some mall time. Before the hordes high school students swarm.

Having been working during what was previously mall time (a good thing, believe you me) I haven't picked up anything really that new for the girlie except for her Little Pony...

Isn't that sweet? I love H & M. I thought I would take her again to see if she was interested in picking up a couple more Pony T's (her BFF Abby has a whole set). She didn't want any more ponies, but she did want a dress for summer ...

And when she got a look at the display, she screamed until I found and agreed to purchase the following...

When H & M came out with this look I thought it was rather morbid. But my discriminating 3 year old apparently knows what's cool.

And this is a problem. Because I have been purchasing some fun, girlie Gymboree items for her next year's wardrobe. Now I'm thinking "Fat chance she'll get into them". My little girl is a pre-tween-ager whose tastes lie in another direction.

Here's another favourite T-shirt (Her (*woxy, woxy, woxy*), which she would gladly wear everyday if she could.

Looks like I may have to sell some of the Gymbo stuff on eBay. But I'm still gonna try to get her into them; the outfits are so sweet and she's not even 4 yet!

And of course, in honour of the second snowstorm in as many days, Mama had to buy herself a brand new pair of ...

Arm warmers. I got two pair, because I just need, need, need them. They go nicely with the blue, don't they?

Happy Friday!

Oh God - isn't it scary how young they start dictating their own fashion choices? The Princess is going to be the death of me! But I think I'll head on down to H&M to grab her a couple of those pony tees! It'll make me mama of the year....for at least 8 minutes!

I was walking through the store the other day and at a glance I was sure the girls' shirt said "Future Porn Star." In reality it said pop star, but sometimes it's not far from the truth.

When I first saw the girly skull and crossbones, I thought it was a Hello Kitty designed one...what with the bow and all!! I want one of those in a "big girl" size!!

I love all the cute stuff, but when it comes to shopping, I'm so happy I just have boys...they don't really care...as long as they have a t-shirt (clean or not) shorts (again..clean or not) and possibly unders...Little boy people are pretty easy to please. Now if I can just get my 5-year-old to stop wearing clothes for 3 or 4 days straight!!!

Aaah, yes. My gymboree days dissolved the day my boys developed an opinion regarding clothes. If it doesn't have a superhero, a dirt bike or a skateboard on it, it sits very lonely in the drawer.

those little outfits are sooo adorable. I'm loving the pony t-shirt. Allie loves little t-shirts. I need to look online for some funny ones.

Oh my heck. Do I understand that you got the skull shirt from H&M - fi not correct me (I'm slow, but teachable), 'cuz that shirt is the shizzle. I wonder if that would come in "Mom" size... I know, I'm too old, but let's pretend I'm senile :)
